Group and centre based activities
Something regular in the calendar, with people you see every week and get to actually know.

What it actually looks like
Small group sessions with a consistent group of people and consistent support workers, so it becomes familiar rather than a room full of strangers.
- Cooking and shared meals
- Art, music and making things
- Sport, movement and getting outdoors
- Life skills learned together rather than one to one
- Outings the group chooses
- Just somewhere to be, with people, without needing a reason
Honest about fit
If a group is not right for you socially, we will say so rather than leave you turning up to something you dread. That conversation is uncomfortable for about a minute and it saves months of a standing appointment nobody enjoys.
Group availability depends on current numbers, so what is running changes. Ring us and ask rather than working it out from a page.
What people get out of it
- A fixed point in the week to plan around.
- People they see often enough to become friends.
- Skills learned alongside others rather than one to one.
- Somewhere to be, without needing a reason.
When it is the wrong fit
- When crowds or noise are the real barrier.
- When you want one to one attention.
- When the timetable does not suit your week.
- When you would rather choose the activity yourself.
