Supported Independent Living
Your home, your rules, your routine. We are there for the parts that are hard, and out of the way for the parts that are not.

What it actually looks like
Supported Independent Living, or SIL, means having support workers in the home where you live. Sometimes that is a house you share with one or two other people. Sometimes it is your own place. Either way it is your home, not a facility, and it should feel like one.
- Help with getting up, getting ready and getting to bed
- Cooking, cleaning and keeping the house running
- Managing appointments, medication prompts and everyday admin
- Overnight support, active or sleepover, where your plan funds it
- Being around when you want company, and giving you space when you do not
How we handle the team
We keep the group of workers around each home deliberately small and deliberately steady. You meet them before they start. You get a say in who stays. If someone is not the right fit for you, tell us and we change it without turning it into a negotiation.
That is easier for a provider our size than a large one, and it is a large part of why Serenica is built the way it is.
What SIL covers
- Daily living support in the home you live in.
- Overnight support, active or sleepover.
- Shared arrangements or an individual place.
- Coordination of the day to day running of the house.
What it does not
- Rent, board or the cost of the property itself.
- Support Coordination, which we are not registered for.
- Therapy or clinical services.
- High intensity supports outside our registration.
Registration group 115, Supported Independent Living. Serenica Support is a registered NDIS provider. You can check any provider on the NDIS Commission register before you sign anything.
Who it is usually for
People whose plan includes daily living support in a shared or individual home. It is often the right fit when someone is moving out of the family home for the first time, leaving hospital or a group setting, or when the current arrangement has stopped working.
What it costs
SIL is quoted, not priced off a menu. We build the roster with you and your plan manager or coordinator, put the numbers in writing, and you see the whole thing before anything is signed. If a quote does not stack up against your plan we will say so rather than let you find out later.

Want to talk it through?
Tell us about the living situation as it is right now, including the bits that are not working. We will come and meet you, and we will be straight about whether we are the right provider for it.
