The area we cover from here

Our Liverpool work covers Casula, Moorebank, Prestons, Warwick Farm, Chipping Norton, Green Valley, Miller, Hoxton Park, Middleton Grange and Hinchinbrook, along with the newer estates further out toward Austral, Leppington and Edmondson Park.

Liverpool sits at the centre of one of the fastest growing parts of Sydney, and the services have not kept pace with the housing. That is the single most useful thing to understand about delivering supports here. We are taking referrals right across the area at the moment, including the estates other providers treat as too far.

The worst outcome is a provider who says yes to everything and then cancels half the shifts. We publish our capacity weekly and date it, so a yes from us is one you can check.

What we help with in Liverpool

The same eleven registration groups we hold everywhere.

A typical week in Liverpool

Most weeks here are built around a few fixed points rather than a full timetable. A morning routine two or three days a week with the same worker at the same time. A block of household support so the washing and the shopping do not pile up. One or two outings anchored to something that already happens rather than invented for the plan.

In the older suburbs closer to the centre, Westfield, the station and the Georges River parklands make short repeatable trips practical. Further out in the newer estates, almost everything needs a car, and outings have to be planned around that rather than pretending otherwise.

Shifts are usually two hours or longer. Where someone is at school or working, most support sits in the after school and evening window, which is a normal pattern here.

Language and culture

Liverpool and the suburbs around it are among the most linguistically diverse in Australia. In practice that means two things for supports.

First, if English is not the language you would rather have this conversation in, say so on the first call. We arrange an interpreter at no cost to you, and we can send anything on this site in Easy Read or large print. You do not need to bring a family member to translate, and you should not have to.

Second, worker matching is not only about language. Who comes into your home, what they understand about how your household runs, and whether food and prayer and family visits are treated as normal rather than as complications, all matter. Tell us what matters and it goes in the notes, not just in one worker’s memory.

Requesting a worker of a particular gender is a normal request here, especially for personal care, and it is recorded permanently rather than renegotiated each time someone new starts.

The growth estates

Austral, Leppington, Edmondson Park and the newer releases around them have filled with young families faster than services have arrived. Providers list the postcodes and then decline the referrals, because they never built a team out that way.

We hire locally rather than dispatching from the inner city, which is the only arrangement that survives out here. A worker who lives fifteen minutes away turns up in bad weather and covers at short notice. A worker driving an hour each way does neither for very long, whatever they promise at the start.

Coming out of hospital

Liverpool Hospital is a major centre and a lot of enquiries here start with a discharge. The single most useful thing you can do is contact us early in the discharge planning rather than on the day, because the difference between a week of notice and an afternoon is the difference between a matched worker and whoever is free.

Where supports need to fit around ongoing appointments at the hospital, we roster to the appointment rather than asking you to move it.

What it costs and how it gets paid

Supports are charged against your plan at or below the price limits the NDIA publishes in its Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. No registered provider may charge above them for a given support item.

We work with agency managed, plan managed and self managed plans. That changes who we invoice, not what you get. The same shift can be invoiced at different amounts depending on the day and time, because weekday, evening, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday rates differ. There is a full explanation in how NDIS price limits work.

We are open in this area right now. All eleven services are accepting referrals. The capacity page is reviewed every Monday and carries the date, so you can check that for yourself before you ring.

Common questions

Do you go out as far as Austral or Leppington?Yes. We have capacity out through the growth areas at the moment, which is not something every provider in this part of Sydney can say.
Can I get an interpreter?Yes, at no cost to you, arranged by us. You do not need to bring a family member to translate for you.
Can supports start after a hospital discharge?Yes, and the earlier in discharge planning you contact us the smoother it runs. We can currently begin within our normal onboarding window rather than putting you on a list.
Can I request a female worker for personal care?Yes, and it is a normal request rather than an awkward one. It goes in the notes permanently.
Will travel time come out of my funded hours? We match workers to where you live specifically so it does not, as far as that is possible. If an arrangement would burn your funding on travel, we will tell you.
How quickly will someone get back to me?Within four hours on a business day, from a named person rather than an automated reply.
Are you registered?Yes. Registration number 4-LOHEV53, certified against the NDIS Practice Standards. Check us on the NDIS Commission register before you commit.
